In 2003 Karen Lindsey, a longtime professional development educator in The Department of The Treasury, received a stage 3 HER2 positive breast cancer diagnosis. Karen’s treatment plan included four surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The radiation severely inflamed her skin causing pain and discomfort. When none of the topical creams recommended by Karen’s doctor worked, her extremely burned skin sparked the idea to get in the kitchen and experiment with natural ingredients. After lots of testing, in 2004 Karen whipped up the winning formula for a cream that soothed and healed her skin. Today Nerak Natural Essence provides extraordinary results to satisfied radiation patients across the U.S.

NERAK Lemon Drop Martini
Ingredients
For the lemon sugar
· 1/2 granulated sugar
· zest from 1 lemon
For the cocktail
· 2 oz Seedlip Grove 42
· 1/2 oz of orange juice
· 1 oz simple syrup
· shaker filled with ice
· lemon wedge for sugaring rim
· lemon twist for garnish
Preparation for lemon sugar:
Stir together lemon zest and sugar
Preparation for cocktail:
Moisten the outer rim of martini glass with lemon wedge and. Turn glass upside down and dip into lemon sugar
Combine all liquid ingredients into ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake shake shake for 30 seconds. Strain martini into glasses, garnish with a lemon twist. If your heart desires feel free to replace the Seedlip Grove 42 with your favorite vodka and the orange juice with triple sec. xoxo
